About the Role

Giving Docs is seeking a full-time Head of Success to play the leading role in our relationships with nonprofit partners, as well as with customers on our technology platform. As one of the early members of our team, the Head of Success will lead and creatively shape all stages of partnership and customer management, from onboarding to campaign support to product management to long-term engagement.


  • Manage client relationships, with responsibility for ensuring that clients are delighted with successful, innovative, measurably impactful campaigns
  • Oversee all aspects of campaign development, troubleshooting challenges and uncovering opportunities with a creative, hands-on approach
  • Be the in-house expert on the Giving Docs product and value proposition.
  • Be or become an expert in nonprofit fundraising strategies
  • Serve as the lead point of contact interfacing between internal and external teams, prioritizing, identifying and addressing client and customer needs in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to provide insight into technical needs of clients, uncovering potential challenges and opportunities for our product roadmap based on client feedback
  • Seek fresh ways to optimize the customer success operation across all touchpoints, from onboarding to campaign support to product management to increased and sustained long-term engagement
  • Provide quality assurance on product feature rollouts as appropriate, and effectively communicate bugs and UX design and functionality issues to Product and Engineering teams
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for customers on the Giving Docs platform, in partnership with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Manage, troubleshoot and resolve customer service requests on the Giving Docs platform

About You

  • 10+ years leadership experience in customer success and client project management, with key responsibility for managing client relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering extraordinary client service
  • Expertise in planned giving, the fintech sector, and/or nonprofit fundraising
  • Proficiency with CRM and project management tools and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of empathy, with a demonstrated ability to listen carefully to and engage meaningfully with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability, background and temperament to serve as a trusted strategic advisor, offering reliable and relevant expertise
  • Desire to not merely meet customer expectations, but to seek opportunities to delight
  • Demonstrated passion to serve the most impactful nonprofits on the planet
  • Proven ability to work within teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • High energy and enthusiasm for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfort with moving quickly in a fast-paced start-up environment
